Bathroom Tile Help

Need some ideas to freshen up this bathroom. Any recommendations on how to work with the tile? I like the idea of painting the tile white, but two small kids are likely to damage any painted coating. As a potential buyer, which would you less like to see; vintage seafoam green or obviously painted white tile?


We will not be tearing out the tile.


We're replacing vanity, counter, medicine cabinet, and light, outlet and cover.

To the left of the photo is the toilet, behind the camera is a bathfitter tub/shower with full plastic surround.

    I love the tile! I would find a bold wallpaper in black and white for above the tile. I would add black hardware and replace the mirror/medicine cabinet to one framed in black. Also add some interesting light fixtures. I would choose fluffy white towels and a white shower curtain hung on black rods. If you are handy, trim the shower and/or window curtains with some interesting trims that can be found at any fabric store. I recently saw some funky black & green tassels for less than $1 per yard. Good luck!
