I would look at some cement tile

Thanks Patricia. I will see what I can find. I would like to add some color, but not sure what colors.

Here are a few that I thought might look nice. It looks like a dark green paint on the walls - very pretty colour.

This one comes in lots of colours. When I saw it I thought it was green, but this looks more blue now. In any case, it is a classic and I'm sure you could find a nice colour that would look good.

This one jumped out at me a bit. I'm not sure how practical it will be as backsplash but the colour of the stones looks so nice and I see some green/grey colours that I thought would look good with your wall colour.

This might be too formal for the space but a pretty shape and nice colour to tie together the white of the cabinets and the dark wall colour

I like this one very much. These are larger size tiles. You wouldn't need many to fill that backsplash area.

Final choices, thoughts?

The wall color is a dark blue grey.

I am torn between pattern and texture...i love the natural shell penny tiles for texture (Dying to put them in my half bathroom!!), and rustic cement style tiles with bold pattern as well.

My wife did not care for the penny tiles. I also think I prefer the middle picture.

Of your final 3 choices the center one if definitely the only clear winner there.
