I would never use this in a bathroom or kitchen backsplash - it would be pure misery to even attempt to clean.

Yes I would not suggest using this in a wet application in a bathroom but on a feature wall (outside of the shower) it would be just fine.

I agree with the comment above about not using on a kitchen splash as well. It would be a nightmare to clean.

We use this material in wet areas all the time--you use a soft brush and a stone cleaner. it is no harder to clean than a tumbled stone.

However, make sure your contractor uses a waterproof backing and the proper setting materials.
