"Hostage Situation" quilt finish - Installment 3

I pieced this top in 2003 as part of a "Saturday Sampler" class from my LQS. They provided the pattern and the fabrics for the blocks. SO ... it has been hanging out in there for over 17 years. I sandwiched it and quilted it and got the binding on it today. The borders and sashings are wonky, most of the triangles in the border don't have points, but I was NOT going to go back and re-do them. Hopefully, I have improved since I made this 17 years ago!!! It finished 61" x 75" - like I said, a little wonky!

I am going to start on painting my kitchen tomorrow, so a small break from quilting before deciding on which other UFO to tackle.

You may see imperfections, but it is still a lovely quilt. I think your color choices were wonderful, but then I'm partial to browns. Congratulations on finishing a very old UFO. You should feel very good about your achievement.

I think it looks lovely. You may know there are things that could have been done better with your experienced skills, but 99% of people will just look at it and think "Wow! That's awesome!"

“Wow, That’s awesome” is my response. My first quilt, 1982, is unfinished, hanging in a closet. Maybe I should get that out and finish it.

That is a beautiful quilt. Non-quilters wouldn't even know to look for the points. LOL Doesn't it feel so good to get these old projects done!
