I live in the country and I think we had a visitor. About 5-6 days ago a dead mouse smell was coming from the arm of my sleep sofa couch. I flipped it and undid the upholstery to the arm of the couch but I can't find it . I then began thinking I found a cup with evidence of milk in it my granddaughter left on the end table when I came in from the store the dogs most likely knocked over. I don't know if there was any milk in it. I do know it can smell very bad also. I shampooed the arm of the couch 2 different times to no avail. It's been a long time but can milk take on a dead smell after the spoiled smell?The smell is driving me nuts! I'm about ready to move my couch outside til the smell leaves then again I'd probably end up with the raccoons lounging on it. I'm worried the smell won't leave my couch if there is a mouse in there and I'm grossed out at the thought of one in it too. Has anyone had this situation. Will the smell leave or is my couch ruined? I'm going to undo the upholstery one more time to try and find it again. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
