Adding a Boxwood Hedge to existing garden

Hi All,

Wondering if someone could assist in photoshopping a boxwood hedge along the foundation of the garage to the left of this photo. We installed this garden last year but am hoping for better foundation coverage with an evergreen hedge for the long winter season here. The windows are 3 feet off the ground and I have 4 feet of space between the foundation and the back row of plants. The length of the garage (pentagon on the left) is 22 feet so I was thinking of installing 6 or 7, 3 gallon Winter gem boxwoods in the back row. Thanks very much in advance!

    It's called box blight, looks like the plants were gone over with a torch. Different kinds of box vary in susceptibility.

    For suggestions of specific shrub varieties indicate your geographic location. Otherwise since the rest of the planting is informally arranged plants in an informally shaped bed I would not plant a low, straight line of any kind of shrub at the back of the bed, in front of the foundation. A feature that in addition to not coordinating with the rest of the layout would draw attention to the base of the house, including the foundation. Rather I would plant several different kinds of shrubs, of differing mature sizes that would serve to soften the angularity, squareness and jutting out appearance of that end of the house. Such as a ~ pyramidal kind at one corner, a different kind of similar shape at the other corner, more than one kind of lower stature between these as well as beneath the windows, and so on.
