I do not understand this need for a matte finish or leathered or honed. Get a nice polished finish it wipes clean easily and absorbs nothing. Actually I would not choose quartz but a nice polished granite that will be around as long as you want it with no issues, real always trumps fake plastic.

I've heard of horror stories of honed estone, but have seen honed tops that have been in service for years that looked great and the customer loved. If you can't get and test a sample, I wouldn't do it.

My fabricator has an entire customer counter in Ella Matte Finish. It looks beautiful in what I would guess is a high traffic area for them. They have a Warm Brittanica workspace but it’s polished.

I chose Ella (measure next week) but my personal preference is polished - both polished and matte are very pretty.

I have Silestone Eternal in the matte finish. I don't have issues w/it. (It wipes clean and absorbs nothing) At least you don't see water spots and finger prints.

however, w/that brittanica design, I think I'd go w/the polished. mine is a solid color, so the matte doesn't detract from the design.

I have ella matte - love the look but extremely disappointed, looks like its spotted all over. Installed 2 years ago, great for first 1.5 years. Cambria technician coming here wednesday.

been waiting since march, due to the pandemic- I do have to praise cambria - they have called me every month to keep in touch. We will see ....

Keep us updated @kodiac23. Spots on Cambria later seem to be an unusual occurrence. I am having Ella installed next week so I am curious. TIA
