Sure you can use your cherrywood furniture. Gray is a neutral. Gray walls and floors plus gray furniture is way too much gray.

It can work, but you will have to choose the grays carefully. Gray floors, gray walls, gray cabinets and gray furniture would be a lot of gray.

Are you set on gray? It seems a bit trendy to me and since the trend has been around for a while, I would prefer more neutral hard finishes for my house.

Yes be careful that you don't overload on the gray. You can select gray features without painting your walls gray also.

You said you "will be building". Does that mean you will be able to change from the gray floors? I am saying that for a couple of reasons. Gray floors aren't really the farm style you mentioned. Floors also dictate so much of everything else in house - the furniture, rugs, cabinetry, paint color. When you are pinned to gray floors, you will have to allow for them in every design choice you make. Easier would be a neutral wood color like natural oak. Goes with everything, won't go out of style. Would still go with your cherry furniture. And would align with the farm style look you are going for.

I have not bought living room furniture which will be to the right as I walk into the front door. The wall to left as I walk in I would like to purchase a 60 inch buffet/server. Do not know if it should match the cherry furniture or do I match the new living room furniture which will be slate gray or black? Thank you.
