The ones you want are probably the oldest, and ones which may not still be doing burials.

Texas cemeteries, at least some of them, have roses. The ones we have seen in your part of the country didn't. We saw one, from a distance, that I thought had blooming roses ... but they were all peonies!

There's a cemetery across the highway from Wall Drug in South Dakota that (at least a few years ago) had one lovely 'Harrison's Yellow.'

You know, Brandon, thinking about this ... I think you may find more luck in the gardens of old homes, in older neighborhoods. Not the ritzest neighborhoods, but ones where people didn't have the spare bucks to throw away the garden plants they inherited, and replace them with the "newest and brightest" -- but, instead, kept what was old, known, dependable, and functional.

I certainly have no experipence in your area, but I think jeri is right. I’ve never seen much of any plants in the old cemeteries in my state aside from a big wichuriana of some sort in the Old Dutch cemetery in sleepy hollow. I have found many interesting old roses (and Irises!) in yards in old neighborhoods. In the spring I’ve always got my eyes peeled to see what’s growing while I’m driving or riding the bike.

The thing I've seen most in older neighborhoods is lots of Dr. Huey.
