Leaking drain pipe. Running a replacement?

Have a leak in my kitchen and have traced it to what I believe to be the cause. The drain pipe in the wall from the kitchen sink is leaking in the wall, hitting my foundation and coming out from under the floor.
Looking to run a new drain to the basement through the floor where I can hook into the drain pipe and using the old drain entrance as my venting.
Created a drawing and have a picture from under the sink and the basement.
Looking for advice on anything I'm missing, or better ways I can do this.

Your leak looks to be coming from the old metal (galvanized?) plumbing left in the wall. Your proposal is a band-aid, not a fix. Not even sure if it's code-legal; maybe a pro can chime in on that. I think your best long-term option is to open the back cabinet/wall, install new plastic DWV piping from your sink down into the basement and Fernco couple the new plastic piping to the existing metal vent pipe.

Managed to find a picture from when kitchen was being redone.

Could probably cut an access hole behind the dishwasher and go that route.
