Wow! Looks like Heaven! That is one stunning garden! I am also glad that the virus came at the beginning of Spring. As horrible as it is, it is also allowing people to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life. I've always wanted time off from school in the springtime, since it's my favorite time of year. It would be nice if school was online all the time. There would be much more time to work in the garden.

summersrhythm - Our house is a "late Queen Anne Victorian", or so I am told. It was built in 1905, which is why the "late". Here is an old family pic of it sometime after 1905 and before WWI (the iron gate to the driveway went to the WWI metal drive for the war, so that is how I know this pic was before that war. Yes, those are roses in the garden - my DH's great grandparents were immigrants from Germany, and both were avid gardeners.

A beautiful mansion! I always love historical homes, often check out Old House Dreams. Now days it’s hard to find a historical home with a beautiful garden . I am waiting on a historical home short sale to come through. I can’t wait to create another tale of historical home and a rose garden.

Oh, I am not a flipper. :-) I meant I am in the process buying an old house for myself. :-) And I don’t have the skill to write about old houses, I just love to look at them, they are like fairy tales to me, amazing designs.......

It would be impossible for me to walk by your house. I would be stopping and acting like a stalker, trying to see everything and waiting to hopefully see you and get a garden tour!!

Thanks - we do get pedestrians who stop and tell me how they like it if I am out there, ask permission to take photos, etc. Of course I invite them to walk around. Others just go by, staring down at their cell phones. Takes all kinds...
