Maple is the least expensive; walnut the most. There usually is a big difference in price.

Walnut costs a lot more than maple!

I think in most cases walnut is more then maple, but according to information that I found on two Conestoga resellers websites it's not the case with Conestoga.

I've attached two screenshots from their websites where one talks about it and the other you can see pricing for cabinet doors where you can see the square foot price for both maple, walnut and other species. You'll probably have to click on the image to enlarge it so you can see it better.

Following a 9 month old post likely isn't going to produce a lot of results. FWIW, I think the commenter above is correct that the price difference between maple and walnut is not a big change with Conestoga. That said, my recollection is that they recently increased the price of walnut based on supply/demand factors. Meanwhile, cherry and some other species came down in price.
