Show close ups when it blooms

Early pendant bloom stems are visible and look like a Carex. Show us again when they're fully up and open.

why do you suggest .. in the title.. its native???

I'm just hoping for native. Depending on what it is will dictate whether I need to to remove it asap or just cut it back for now.

Update, here is what it looks like now.

It looks like a sedge. Whether native or not depends on which species. When not already recognizable to the viewer individual grasses and sedges may often have to be figured out using details of the flowers (or seeds) and foliage as described in botanical references. For instance
