Maybe 'Snake Eyes? (?). Whatever it is an awesome find!!!

It looks a lot like a Snake Eyes that didn’t like my garden. I think it looks awesome and I would plant it just as it is and take lots of pictures to post here and make a lot of other folks just a wee bit envious! Great find!

It first I thought, Colored Hulk, but upon comparison, I agree it’s Snake Eyes and I wish I had purchased it! It looks great Steve.....plant it!!

No way is that 'Snake Eyes'. Snake Eyes is more like Striptease with a wider little white line, and the leaves are not twisty. Methinks you have 'Undulata Univittata'. Check out website for more info: Undulata variations

striptease is notorious for sports. i had one that looked like alot of the sports on one plant. when i first got it, it was like a streaked striptease. but became almost unrecognizable. after about 10 years the whole thing came up exactly like striptease. so i gave it away. the thrill was gone.

I don’t think it’s Snake Eyes either. Here’s a mature clump of Snake Eyes in spring. It will yellow up more in summer. Whatever you have it’s nice!

Not Snake Eyes, but not UU. I also have that and this reminds me of Bullfrog with its twisty leaves and weird green pattern lined with white inside the white which is inside the green. But Bullfrog came from Krossa Regal so I think its more upright. Probably a Striptease sport gone wild. Will keep watching it.

It looks like a wild Striptease that had a fling with Wheee! I don't know what it really is, but clearly this is a hosta that wants to have some fun! Great find!

You could call it Steve's Green Splash. Maybe start a new category, Splashed leaves. I think it is beautiful.

Thanks UTOG, that looks almost exactly like what I got and it does look, "over planted and forced at the greenhouse" as this 2.3 gallon pot is crammed full of roots and shoots. I was hoping the pattern would calm down as its a little too random for me. I hope I end up with something like what you have (but not the same, where's the fun in that?). I do grow a dozen Striptease sports but not Striptease itself. So if it does settle down to Striptease its not a total loss. I may try to separate a few of the best eyes from the clump before I plant it just to see if it settles in to something different but it may be too tightly wound. I'll see when I get all that potting soil off.

I will say that it was hard to separate mine even the next season. I had to use the hori-hori as a cutting knife. It was so over planted.

I found something similar a year or two ago. There's a picture on houzz somewhere. Here's what it looks like now.

It was more interesting when I bought it, but still a fun find.

Found it. It's lost all the lovely gold tint and the markings are more regular. Here it is in 2018.

MadPlanter, that is a pretty plant. I think Steve's will look just like yours one day. Mine is darker, I think, but essentially the same. My other ST was field grown, and always looked like a perfect ST.

I have Gypsy Rose and Striptease but mine look totally different then that, Could it possibly be Chain Lightning. It is raining and dark now but found one of my pictures of it from 2013 , Not sure where I have it moved to now but could be a possibility maybe( I am not good at this game ) Just a guess

My Striptease are much bigger plants than my Snake Eyes, Gypsy Rose, Hanky Panky,etc. the only one as large is Kiwi Full Monty. Striptease grew rapidly in my yard . The others have grown much more slowly.
