We have a grape vine that is about 12-15 years old. Last year it produced a lot of grapes. The most it ever had. Though a lot of grapes were cracked and some were covered with some whitish stuff, mildew maybe, don't know.

(well, this is the largest, not all were like that of course :) )

This year I pruned it a little earlier than I normally do. It wasn't crying, no juices were running from the cut vines. I pruned it as I usually do, leaving 3-5 buds on the last year's vines. All the vines looked alive and healthy when I cut them. I cut quite a few vines from the main trunk, but all of them where last year's vines. But now it's not developing at all

I mean by this time of year it would have long vines, lots of leaves and even grapes already. It has these few short new vines that are not growing anymore and most of the buds didn't open at all as you can see

The leaves don't look healthy either. They are normally uniform dark green color

We do spray it with copper on more or less regular basis. Did it once or twice this year.

I was thinking maybe I pruned it too early. However we live in the south of the Southern California, so there is no danger of frost ever. But maybe it needs to bleed when pruned? I cut little pieces from the pruned vines just now and they don't look completely dead

So what went wrong? Is there any chance of survival? Anything I can/should do?
