Where is it going? Just on the wall with the range? It also on the sink wall? And how high up to you plan to take it?

Hello All, thank you for your vote! Thank you eam44 for your advice and I agree that would be marble overload. Lwfrommy: I plan to take the tile up to the ceiling near the hood and up to the soffit area near the sink.

In that case I would go for the larger subway tile (assuming it has to be one of these four). That’s a lot of wall space and any of the smaller tiles will look very busy (even the small subway, because of the grout lines). If you’re open to a larger tile, you could do more of a feature tile like an encaustic.

I like the color of the marble, but not the size and shape. I think the gray is not the right shade, too blue. The whites look too bright and the herringbone is too small. I think you can do better.

I think this handmade tile in Charcoal Grey would be perfect for your kitchen. It comes in a wide variety of sizes.

Houssaon: Is there a place where I could pick up the tile since my husband already schedule the Contractor to install this week? He wants to get the house done ASAP. 4-5 weeks is a long lead time to wait.

They will mail samples. This company is located in New York. I did not have to wait long for my tiles. They might have them. But who knows with all that is going on. See if you can get them on the phone. They had really knowledgeable people working for them.

I love your kitchen. I think I would just do one of the subway tiles. Your countertops are very pretty. I think the grays--the marble and the subway--will compete. Be sure and share pics when you are done. If you could find a subway tile with crackle or a little more handmade looking, that could look great.

Just looked at Home Depot. They have some interesting subway tiles. One example below.
