Full sun, or mostly sun. 12 - 16" pot would be great. I plant my with other flowers in front, because Nico tends to 'flop'. If wind up with the scented---it's heavenly! And hummingbirds will visit!

One of my favs! In the garden, I try to plant them in the back because of the height and the flopping. Their leaves get HUGE at the base of the plant, so spacing 12 inches (if you can).

An Update:

Now 6 weeks later it is in bloom.

But for the life of me I do not detect much if any fragrance. Do I need more than one plant to get the effect? What I am doing "wrong" ;)?

The scent was best after sunset as I recall. Also, the scent was bred out in favor of color for some varieties.
