nichol, they won't accept any videos unless you load them into youtube then you can post videos you put into the youtube format.

I love the dry stream and all your hostas. Those leaves look like they do a good job of cutting down unwanted natives. Did those rocks came out of the ground as you put hostas in? Lovely walk! Isn't shade wonderful.

Do you have mosquitoes in all that shade? How do you deal with them, if yes?

Liquidfeet. When it's wet some mosquitos but ticks are the real problem. Out back there is what used to be a gravel pit and the mosquitos were really bad. It was dug out for cranberry bogs and is wet a lot longer, however far less mosquitos. Lots of frogs and wildlife. I think that's the difference. I have to use Deet for the ticks, that repels mosquitos too. It is rocky all around. Every time I planted something I would throw the rocks back there. After years I thought, gee, that looks. pretty good and started hunting for rocks. The largest rock was set in the ground and I had to plow it over into position. 95 degrees, 3 hours later i had it moved the 25 feet or so to where I wanted it with a digging pole. I have become obsessed with rocks.

Debra, This pond about 3/4 mile from me was to be a reservoir for flooding cranberry bogs right behind me. Shot it with panorama which compresses it. It is a lot longer than the picture shows. Nice destination. Very rarely do Shasta and I meet anyone on the walk. Big excitement when we do. She loves people, but some people are afraid of a 75 lb + very friendly dog.
