    Hi,

Although your picture is good, it is not enough. More pics would help to get a better image of the surrounding walls, doors, windows, furniture, size of room and shape of room. All those should be taken into account when choosing a new table.
Then you need to consider: how many do you want to sit, table finish, size, shape, extending or not and style.
Best tip: cut out a carton/fabric and mark out the table on the floor to get a feel of how much space it will take out of the room. Leave minimum 70-90cm between the edge if table and walls/furniture- to allow for chairs being pulled out.

Reading more about it online will surely help too.

Thanks so much I added a few few but the sideboard will be gone sideboard which will give me a bit more room I need room for at least 6 I will keep researching thanks for responding I wish i was better on computer as I see a lot of floor plans where you fit in furniture but it never works for me hah ah I am debating if the rectangular table should be place across the room like my current sideboard or the other way I like the idea of marking thanks again

It seems the table and chairs are fitting a bit tight but it could be the way the picture was taken. You need at least 3 feet away from the walls to be able to pull the chairs comfortably, 4 feet is optimum.
