They are biennials. They flower in their second year and then they die, or they struggle on as tatty plants for another year. They will not produce well again. People usually pull them before they flower. I leave a few to self sow but I am a lazy gardener.

I would let them go to seed and collect the seeds to plant in the fall. They might even seed themselves as long as you did not till them under.
