Identify oak disease

Saw this on a fallen leave in the yard. Is this a problem we need to address with some chemical warfare?

A few galls.....nothing of concern. Oaks tend to be bothered by a lot of different galls.

FWIW, leaf blemishes are generally never a good reason to resort to "chemical warfare" :-) Many - like the galls - are of little consequence and can be safely ignored.

imo.. all leaf damage is cosmetic .. and NEVER needs treatment.. especially chemical warfare. .. lol ... [yes.. i said ALL and NEVER]

that leaf is 99% unaffected.. and still doing its job.. converting sunshine into energy ...

if there is some plague of bugs ... then MAYBE you need to react ... but frankly .. most large otherwise healthy mature trees can releaf.. even if completely defoliated ... and if it is eaten leafless... get this.. the bugs disappear anyway.. go figure on that .. [and how would you treat a 50 to 100 foot tree anyway ....]
