Last year one branch had the same symptom I thought it is because drought. But this year it happens again on two branches. Is it some kind of disease? this corner is always dry because a huge tree close by. But there is also a Japanese Maple that is doing fine. They all planted 7 years ago. I did know that I need to get the roots spread out when plant. (Had another same tree died and checked the root looks like it suffocate itself to dearth) Might be the same case?
