Measuring Tub Depth

Hi - I have a drop-in tub that I am looking to replace. It appears to be very short vs. what I am seeing available for replacements even though it is only about 5 years old (previous owner installed). So I think I may be taking the wrong measurements.

Floor to top of surround is 15.5". Tub deck is 1.5" for a total height of 17". The shortest outer height I've found is 18" total, with 16.5" floor to deck and there is only 1 model like this.

Am I taking the right measurements? Please help. Thank you!
