Dealing With Gummy Stem Blight

All my cucurbits have 1 or 2 plants with Gummy Stem Blight. Cuke beetles have been bad this year and i didn't get at them until they were a real problem.
Anyone have experience with treating this with copper sulfate? Should i completely scrap the infected or just cut off damage and spay with copper sulfate?
