Any full-size, vented dryers under 36” high?

Hey All,

We current have a very space limited utility closet for our laundry. The machines there are Fridgidaire Affinty appliances.

The current dryer is gas, but we also have the correct breaker/voltage for an electric dryer, so either is fine.

These units are both 36” tall and full-size (7+ cubic ft for the dryer, for example). Well, they seemed to have stopped making this model and every stackable dryer/washer I can find at the big box stores is about 39” high per unit.

We‘ll do compact models if we have to, but would appreciate any leads if any if you have encountered this height issue yourself.

You may want to look into European sized washer/dryer.

Something like Bosch, Asko, Electrolux, Miele, Blomberg.

In Europe they have washers under counters usually in the kitchen.

I faced the same issues when I was looking for a dryer -- limited space, but I wanted it vented. I think Maytag makes one (but I'd never trust a Maytag). I had to go with a smaller capacity, 24" wide model, and options for vented are still limited.......I think my options were Blomberg, GE, or Gorenje. I went with a Gorenje, but they're not available in the US.

Our Asko T208VW is 33 inches tall. We have the matching washer and this dryer in our master closet so it is the perfect capacity for my husband and I and it easily fits our king size sheets.
