Looks as if it could easily be handmade...probably someone on Etsy could replicate it.

Try an online search for "sweater knit fringed throw." Though not your color choice, this from Ballard Designs was just one of many that popped up. Maybe include the color with your search (rose, peach, salmon, etc.).

You could likely find someone on Etsy to knit the exact color and size you want.

Etsy might be a good source for a handmade version or someone who will make one -- as well as waiting a month or two. The heavier throws seem to appear in stores with the season change.

The white one is beautiful, but can you imagine what a cat or two could do to it?

chloebud - I'll bet that's the one, at Ballard Designs! none of those colors will be right though.

before I created this post, I used just about every search term I could think of. normally I'm really good at online research, but this one evades me. my color & material choice is probably too specific / difficult. I think lascatx is right: I need to wait until it's the right season for warm blankets, and then shop for them in real life -- if I can. it's not like we're having guests over anytime soon (sadface).

meanwhile, I'm going to change my design plan. the only other look I think will work really well is a "boho" look with woven stripes in soft black & white. I just ordered this blanket in the mockup below. it was so cheap I don't mind donating it if it's terrible. (ignore how sloppy my curtains look, this room is not finished.)

Is the image recent? I am almost certain that is the same throw I bought as a gift from Macy's 2 yr ago. I bought it in red.

Give this one a try.. fromPom Pom at Home, the Trestles Oversized throw. It seems to be what you are looking for .. and it comes in a number of colors. My only complaint (for me) is that it is acrylic vs cotton. Love the size though (60" x 90")

I was considering many of the options posted above, but was dragging my feet. and then I randomly stumbled across the perfect thing on a day I wasn't even looking for it! funny how that happens. I love it. not only are the colors and design perfect, but it has the softness and weight I wanted too.

ALSO... I had been looking forever for a headboard. I already had most of the materials to make my own, but I couldn't find the right upholstery fabric. for months, my "headbord" was a piece of foam with a blanket draped over it. so I gave up and I started looking for something else. I wanted a simple, squared off design and couldn't find anything. so I made one from a hollow core door! those usually don't have nicely finished edges, so I painted that part teal. you guys. I LOVE IT. my bedroom is finally complete! (it only took three years, haha.)

thanks! what I love is how easily it came together. I already had leftover stain and paint in my garage, so the headboard project only cost a whopping $40! I was going to mount it to the frame, but the plan I came up with was going to be a pain in the butt. then I discovered that if I just wedge the door between the mattress and the wall, it seriously doesn't budge (hollow core doors are really light weight). the original foam I purchased is behind it, serving as a bumper. DIY projects rarely go this easily for me.

oh and the blanket? $25!

Thanks Jinx! I found the blanket at TjMaxx last summer, so I'm sure they don't have them anymore. I rarely shop at stores like that, but I happened to wander in one day and was flabbergasted to see those beautiful blankets. I wish I could remember the brand, but I cut off the tag. sorry I can't be more helpful! I'll let you know if I do somehow remember the name.
