Great close ups, but I can't tell is it on the plant or the soil?

Could you pls show a pic w/ the whole plant, or at least the whole length of stem / branch w/ this on it. I've grown these for yrs., but have never seen that before.

If mine, I'd likely THROW THE WHOLE THING OUT, pot, soil & plant.

It is mold, someone asked about the same recently.

Molds grow in organic and moist soils. So it would be wise to change the soil, and change your watering habits. Many molds may not be really harmful to plants (could be worse for ppl), but they indicate something is wrong.

What kind of soil are you using for TC? How much and how often do you water? Do you fertilize and if yes, how much/how often?

I use a mixture of regular succulent potting soil and perlite, and I use diluted miracle grow every couple months

thank you for responding! the pot does have two drain holes and I water it once the soil feels dry which is about once a week. and I did not know that about the see through containers, I will change pots and add more perlite.

Add lots of perlite; many ppl using C&S soil add 50% of sifted perlite. It is a good idea to sift or rinse it using kitchen sifter/sieve it to get rid of dust.

You can buy one in a dollar store, plastic or metal. I would buy bigger rather than small one, since it is easier to use. Rinsing may be easier: just run water over it, let drip-dry in the sieve and use. Sifting produces dust that is not too good to inhale.
