As a general rule, mold is bad for plants.

You imply that you have good experience with the product as a potting medium; and you state that you can remove the moldy portions. So, on the way to Go, pause at Some Sunny Place to dry and IR treat the nonmoldy (visually, at least) medium.

Mold is beneficial in the development of compost (your somewhere special for the removed portions).

As a general rule, healthy soil is full of all kinds of living organisms, including mold & fungi, but I would not use moldy potting mix in a pot. Maybe just spread it on the ground somewhere outside.
