The door is fine where it is located. Concentrate on new landing area and landscaping.

Remove the shrub blocking the door. What I first see when looking at your house is the white siding up top. Perhaps paint or replace with a color similar to roof, so your eye goes to front door area.

Agree; you don't need to move the door. House is charming as is. Perhaps a less "in your face" color is called for here to soften the lines of all your white parts. I would check into a paint that matches the color of the mortar or a gray compatible to the roof. Paint the door a pretty color that you love, and increase the lantern light size to 1/3 of the door's height. Remove the bush and whittle out the stump of the tree to plant petunias or other colorful trailing plants that do well in your area. Then work on the other landscaping to include a nice ornamental tree about 12' in front of the large window.

And be sure to paint that piece of white guttering on your roof. Paint it shingle-colored. 😁

The door makes sense, because of the size of the windows. What makes it look awkward is the shrub in front of the door. I think you would be pleasantly surprised at the difference it makes with that gone. Concentrate landscaping under the window, and the whole thing will look right.

How about this a wider porch facing front? (Mine got a bit too wide, but you get the idea.) The walkway could meander over to the driveway, if there is no side door.

Nice iron railing. Plant a tree out in the yard to visually balance the door.

Yes this is really cool - over to the driveway makes perfect sense. I like the third window on the right too - maybe add some mullions thanks for this visual.
