Pre-painted slab door

I want to replace doors only, as I don't want to make the job complicated.

I also want pre-painted door, since my current door are painted onsite and flaking off after 1 year.

I found Jeld-Wen doors offering pre-painted door slabs in a design that I like (white shaker style), but it doesn't explain anything about the location of hinges and door knob. Are they supposed to be standard? Nothing in my house is standard (work done by previous owner), so I am worried I won't be able to use those doors. If the location of current hinges and door knobs are not standard, do they have an option for customization?

Are they any other brands you would recommend for my situation?

It's not a difficult DIY task to reset hinges and the door latch on the jambs. Check out YouTube demos.

True it is not difficult with the proper knowledge, and tools. Or you will making kindling as you really only get one chance on a hinge cutout, know bore or backset. Add in the fact that the doors probably need to be undercut as well as planed due to not every door opening being perfectly square and it can be a daunting task. Realistically prehung doors are going to be less work and dollars in the long run unless you are an experienced trim carpenter.

Thanks for your inputs.

I want a pre-painted doors, as I've had a primed door painted by my painter and didn't like the result. I am afraid if I reset hinge, it will ruin the finish. Or am I missing something?

Is it possible to install pre-hung doors, without re-doing the frames?

Paint on the wall and baseboard moldings are new, I don't want to damage them.

My husband and I are not experienced at all. If someone gives a slab that is pre-cut for hinges and door knob, we will be able to install it. But anything beyond, we will need to hire someone.

Get a different painter. I do not know that they are available prepainted as normal moving around on the sire will bang them up a bit.

No a prehung door means the slab is prehung in the frame.

If someone gives a slab that is pre-cut for hinges and door knob, we will be able to install it.

Possibly but there is no 100% guaranteed industry standard on the exact hinge location, size, corner radius, knob bore, etc, etc, etc. An 1/8" off and it ain't working. Every door would need to be measured for every cutout and detail and as I mention many many times the doors need to be planed down in multiple spots to fit and open and closer properly. An 1/8" of an inch off and it ain't working.

I should’ve said ‘casings’ instead of frames. Do we need to do re-do the casings if we install pre-hung doors?
