Two questions arose as I gardened the vegetable plot today. First, the potato plants were spent so I pulled them up. There were a few attached potatoes and many loose as I dug around. Would each of those potatoes have grown into a plant? Should I have left the tiny ones to keep growing? Once disturbed, would they still have? OK, next is spinach. The one plant I left to go to seed was prostrate and brown so I brought it inside and let the seeds fall off onto a tray. When can I sow them? They still seem a bit fresh, not hard and dry. It would be nice to have a second crop this year.
