I would LOVE to see lists of hostas that put up only 1 flush per season, a list of those that put up 2 flushes per season, those that do 3 flushes per season (are there any?), and those that seem to keep putting up leaves all season. That would be very very helpful.

I'd also like a list of hostas that regularly produce viable seeds.

How about a list of hostas that regularly sport? Are there some that do this more than others?

Lemon Lime puts out three flushes of leaves.

Not fully what you desire but there is a list of difficult to grow. I have some on that list that grow very well here: Love Pat, Cherry Berry and Emerald Ruff Cut are the ones I remember. Eskimo Pie is on that list and I would certainly agree with that one as being difficult.

I didn't even know hosta could have three flushes! I do have a Lemon Lime that I will have to pay more attention to!

I've seen a Love Pat in person; I bought a Cherry Berry once---found out it was on the difficult list and took it back! Why or why does the pretty Emerald Ruff Cut have to be a difficult one? What's the secret peren.all to growing these well?
