Soli Deo Gloria is a lovely bloom, and it’s purple, yeah! Symphony of Praise is looking just as gorgeous late in the season! Your seedling is Still looking like a real winner on rebloom.

While I do like all your blooms, that coreopsis is wonderful! None of mine came back this year after years of blooming and some reseed. I miss them in the garden. Your seedling has performed well! In Search of Angels is so pretty-is that a consistent color for you?

Kate - My coreopsis plants all died out over the winter. That's why I bought Ruby Frost this Spring. The coreopsis plants I've bought in more recent years don't seem to live more than three years here. I used to have a lot of self sowing, but no new ones this time. In Search of Angels is a consistent color here, but it may not be the color you see on the screen. I think my picture has more lavender in it that the actual flower. If you look at the pics of it on the NGA database, pictures 3 and 4 have pretty accurate color. This is the first time it's rebloomed in the 16 years I've had it. I guess it likes its sunnier location.

A very pretty post, Debra. I like Soli Deo Gloria and A Groovy Kind of Love. The seedling is beautiful and Miss Demeanor looks very pretty in a clump.

Thanks Kay! I'm really liking each bloom on A Groovy Kind of Love. I'm looking to put it in a premium growing space. I like Blood of the Martyrs much better than Soli Deo Gloria so far. BOTM's edge is wider and pure white. BOTM has Soli Deo Gloria on both sides of its parentage, It's taller and seldom has splotches, so that's the one I'll be keeping permanently. Soli Deo Gloria will be here for a couple of years for hybridizing, and then it may move on.

I like Dancing x Bubblegum seedling. It's one of my favorite color combos. Girly girl pink and yellow ruffly edges...........Good to know about Soli De Gloria on the edges. Not my cup of tea. Also the color looks rather flat and dull. I've seen it look like that before in others pictures. I may be glad I couldn't buy it these last two years. Keep me posted on how the color does for you just out of interest............Maryl

Maryl - I'm glad you like my big pink seedling. But the edges are cream white - not yellow. It's interesting how different monitors display the colors. Today Soli Deo Gloria looked absolutely marvelous. It takes sitting in the sun for awhile for the edge to get ruffly and the sepals to recurve. The color was gorgeous jewel tones today - instead of the flatter dark color of the first bloom. I do think I'm going to end up loving it, even though the edge isn't totally white here.

Brad - I do like the color of Bite of the Apple. It's an unusual pinkish red that really stands out in the garden.

Nancy - I think you and I were thrown off when SDG didn't bloom with a pure white edge. Now that I don't have that expectation, I think it's a pretty nice daylily.

Beautiful, Debra! I especially like the first two. I've always thought of SDG having a white edge, but have never looked at it that closely I guess. I'll have to do that! :) Bite Of The Apple is one I thought about getting, she just has too many nice ones to choose between.
