If it were me I would go the lightest route in 3x6 subway brick pattern & let your countertops be the hero. I feel anything darker for your splash would be visually too heavy...

I have to tell you shown, the creamy square one on the right fits the best. I suggest that you take a photo with it on the countertop like you did, but include the upper cabinets in the photo. All 3 parts have to play nice! I would probably try to get a tile similar to one of the lightest colors in your countertop, but it also needs to coordinate with your cabinet color.

Can u turn all the lights on - overhead and under cabinet if you have? (Ideally all lights should be 4000k LED which is closest to natural daylight). I like the colour of the square you're holding - looks like a good colour to the cabinets. My personal preference is the 3x6 size.

Look for a tile color that's a little deeper than the cabinets, it will balance with the counters and the cabinets.

We have LED lights and under cabinet led light strips but have no idea if they are 4000K. I will look into that. Here are more pics with lights on but I feel the phone pics aren’t great. The tile can come in a 2x8 which I am leaning to more then the square. Would you use a cream grout or black?

Match the grout color to the tile; if the installer is not top notch will it bother you to see inconsistencies between the tile? Darker grouts highlight all of that.

Agree with above - match grout to tile. Too much contrast not only visually busy but will call attention to any and every inconsistency.

I really like this tile above. It has a handmade quality and is not flat. The light will reflect off of it. Matching grout is the way to go. What color of accessories are you thinking about. Everything is neutral so any color would look good

I think I might paint the kitchen BM quiet moments. Not sure of any other accessories but I am open to ideas always.

Nine years ago I had a difficult time finding a tile to match my dark Giallo counter.

Finally found the right shade in a Gracia Rixi tile.

The idea is for a transition color from white cabinets, cream tiles to the brown counter.
