I think it's from the detergent you put in for that cycle. Those are basically the same ingredients as Charlie's Soap, and been there, done that. I don't get that kind of sudsing when there is dirty laundry in the tub with the Charlie's Soap.

Whenever I run a machine clean cycle, I use either oxygen bleach or LemiShine and nothing else; each product does a different job.

Yeah, I noticed the ingredients were the same. I’ve never tried CS but when I used this on towels recently there were tons of suds so I thought it was pulling residue. Both companies say suds (from previous detergents) will diminish the more you use it.

Also, what is the capacity of the "scoop" you are using in place of the Affresh tablets?

Interacting with soils in a load of dirty laundry will reasonably reduce the sudsing depending on the dosage compared to the amount of soil. Insignificant amount of oils/soils, more sudsing.

jwvideo, haven’t tried that in a while but there were no suds a few months ago. The scoop is smaller than the affresh tab, must be the Pareth in it. I was hoping to use it up somehow bc it didn’t remove odors w clothes.

dadoes, did not realize that... also the very hot water in tub clean is a factor. Laundry is pretty consistently lightly soiled but the suds vary so much from detergent to detergent & type of laundry.
