Design and repurpose odd layout of ranch

Although we love our “new to us” house .... it is giving us some problems with

Staging with furniture our entry/living rm/ Dining room L shaped area.
The owners before us added on an extension to this ranch which added a large Master/en-suite and a large family room to the back of the house. Because of this there is a room “smack in the middle of the home with no window” and needs to be repurposed for us.
this middle room makes an awkward pass through which I would like to end
We are ready to remodel our kitchen and incorporate this room and the laundry room into a nice space but need ideas on how to do this.

Would love your ideas. Wish I could post a video instead would make it easier ! Thank you!

Had 3 people already some so expensive some didn’t like there redesign

Why would you cover the big adjacent spaces?...everything relates..whether or not you plan to change these parts....this is a very challenging dilemma...and a discussion here can be helpful...but there are some big flaws and problems with the floor plan that require input from a construction pro....mostly your needs and desires for how you want to live will dictate any additions or changes

My suggested layout for your living room and dining room areas.

TV unfortunately can either be placed over the FP or to the left of the FP.

What about opening up that wall between the dining room and kitchen to where the short part of the L begins. You'd move the cabinets to the where the pantry currently resides. Then use the room with no windows as a large walk-in pantry.

Maybe divide the no windows room as a large walk-in pantry and a linen closet for the bedrooms.
