help! nurseried shrubs dried out

We dug up some dwarf fothergilla shrubs during a landscaping project and “nurseried” them in another part shade section of the yard. Unfortunately during a recent hot spell I forgot to water them and we didn’t have enough rain. The leaves are mostly curled up and dry. Any chance I can save them? I was planning to put them back in the spot they were dug up from.
