I am purchasing a new wood garage door (it's a single car size). The GD retailer is going to deliver it and leave it uninstalled so that I can have painters paint all the sides of it and before any hardware or weather stripping goes on it. I'm wondering how long I should plan on letting the paint dry and cure before the installer comes back out and man-handles it onto the tracks. It'll be at my rental house, so I'll need my tenant to leave aside some space in the garage for it while it dries/cures (he's been using the space as a small gym, so I guess aside from the smell, which he can open up the doors/windows, he shouldn't be too put out by this as his car is already parked on the street). This will be in mid-September in the SF Bay Area (so no moisture, temps probably in the 80's).

Thoughts about how to prop it as it dries? The tenant has a couch in there, so possibly if he pulls the couch out from the wall, all three panels can probably lean against it. Will that damage the paint job, though, being propped on the rough cement floor but dry-walled walls? And now that I think about it, the floor is probably not the cleanest - I think the last tenant had some stuff leak out of the recycling bins (which were stored in the garage where I'm thinking of having them dry.
