What conditions does the Brunnera grow? It doesn’t sound like excess sun is the issue. Are there large trees growing nearby? Has it been dry of late or unusually warm/hot. I’ve recently become a fan of Brunnera, but the common name — Siberian Bugloss — is a good reminder of what it likes.

Jack Frost always did that for me, only much worse. I tried it in three different spots before I got rid of it. But Sea Heart has performed beautifully.

We've got Sterling Silver and Emerald Mist, both of which are doing well. This plant serves as our "Hosta," which is difficult for us to grow due to deer pressure. I've been looking for Alexander's Great, and will now add Sea Heart to the list.

Might be too dry -- even in shade, brunnera have a tendency to crisp if the soil is too dry.

I didn’t douse the Jack Frost with the vinegar solution, but there is a Golden Tiara next to one side of. Maybe in my Zealous nature to kill slugs, some may have spilled on it. But it’s on the top and other side.

Maackia, there is a very large maple tree in my front yard. The JFB grows right at my front door. Could be I’m not watering enough.
