Rotting peppers

All my peppers (sweet of many types) are all getting odd mottling and rotting. It has been a hot summer, so I know that they may rot before they fully ripen in the heat, but all my peppers are pretty inedible. They may have a disease to some extent, as the lower leaves on some plants are turning spotty yellow and falling off. There also appear to be stink bugs around, who may be damaging the peppers. Maybe a combination of all 3 problems? Should I expect anything edible before October?

Should I just pull out the plants and plant something different for fall?
