Hello fellow Houzzers!

I really have a number of questions but Dutch Door hardware is my most pressing one. Per recommendation I'm posting my other questions separately.

Dutch door hardware:

1) Outside electronic keypad ok? If yes, does one need to have a separate locking mechanism on the other half of the door. This seems to defeat the purpose of having an electronic lock entry. Assuming I don't need both halves to lock, would I place the keypad on the upper half or lower?

2) Inside upper/lower door fastener: slide, barrel, triangle, or other?

The reno is contemporary with recessed ceiling, level 5, white paint and whiter trim, black inner doors, open concept kitchen and living room where that door opens, black hardware with some chrome accents. Thanks for your thoughts!
