Question:

Were the leaves a different shape then suddenly change or have they always been this shape since your purchase? Just asking because I have a few Adenium and there can be some variation in the leaves from plant to plant. Some long and narrow, others more “roundish”. I even have one where the leaves have a velvety texture. Some variability in leaf appearance is normal. I think it’s due to the different types and genetics. When crosses are developed there’s no telling what the results of the offspring will be. They don’t all look alike even if from the same seed pod.

In your 2nd image it just looks like your plant is developing some side shoots. I can’t tell if the tip is as pinched or damaged. I see some brown at the very tip but I also see what appears to be new growth there too. I don’t think that’s anything to worry about. Those side shoots will give your plant a bushier, more lush appearance.

Regarding the leaf color, in your last image...could your plant be suffering from some deficiency? Do you feed it? Pushing out new growth takes a lot of energy so maybe it needs some nutrients. Years ago when I joined this forum, knowledgeable people here wrote about using Dyna Gro Foliage Pro. I’ve been using it ever since. It’s very easy to use and seems to give plants what they need.

There are different species & subspecies of Adenium. I think yours either is Adenium somalense or it’s has it in its genetics somewhere as it seems to be exhibiting more A. somalense traits.
