What do you need to store in the closet?

At the moment games. In the future folded clothes. I havnt found hardware that would allow hangers on the back wall. ideally 1/2 shelves and 1/2 for hanging clothes. Ty

Hanging clothes need a depth of 24 inches. Twelve inches is for books or decor. Games would fit. Your closet's measurements aren't clear to me, sorry. Is it 7 feet wide by 12 inches deep? A handy person could build and install budget-friendly adjustable shelves. Or look into something like the Elfa system (The Container Store).

I would need to knwo where this is in the room and a floor paln IMO if you are palnning on this being a proper closet it needs to be at least 25” deep so making a new closet that is that depth would be my suggestion. I like Pax from Ikea for each in closets .

Screw 1x2 cleats to the walls of the closet where you want shelves. Install 1/2 plywood shelves on top of the cleats. Cheap, sturdy and easy.

If you want something that doesn't put holes in the walls, buy a couple of bookcases and stick them in your closet.
