We have LVP in the bedrooms. No, you’re not going to fool anyone into thinking it’s hardwood. That being said, we used Supercore and I love it!

Supercore Krypton. We’re in a condo and our bedrooms are downstairs, in what used to be the shared storage/laundry area, so the only thing under the flooring is a concrete slab that can sweat with extreme moisture/humidity changes. We also have a 13 year old dog and toddler, so between that real wood and carpet were out. We did LVP plus rugs and it has been great for our needs!

Yes, they do send free samples! I believe there’s a code you have to enter to get free shipping on the samples, but I believe it could be found right on their website. I took a fork to the samples and tried to scratch them with no luck, it’s really strong stuff.

We specifically chose LVP for our bedrooms bc we live in Florida, we have a senior dog who occasionally sneaks off and does her business in places and we were replacing carpet but I still wanted something softer for the feet. No it doesn’t look like wood but it’s nice and we get tons of compliments about it. We used Parkay brand because they had a color we liked and it was one of the higher quality LVP. https://www.parkayfloors.com/product/oyster-gray/ is the one we used and here it is in my bedroom and hallway.

Nice! good job decorating! I am bummed because everything I have looked at vinyl or laminate does not look hardwood. How is it on your feet? Either too bland or photoshop

It’s much softer than my downstairs tile, I really like it’s “give”. It’s not cold either. We also upgraded the underlayment for comfort and noise reduction, and it’s soundless. I looked at a lot of vinyl before I picked this one. Go to a flooring place, not a big box store, because they usually have full size room samples so you can really see what you’re getting and feel it. Too hard to tell by a few planks in a box.

I prefer engineered wood over vinyl any day. It is durable, easy to care for and competitive price wise. Look for good ones and they look, feel and sound like real hardwood.

I like it, I have it on my main floor. Want something waterproof, less maintenance upstairs in hall off baths and in bedrooms. Have kids and animals; I dont want it to look cheap of course. so I am on the hunt. Im not concerned that it looks like wood. Although cant have marble look either. I dont want to spend as much as I did for hard wood too. Want sturdy. No bounce. Any suggestions besides wood.

I have LVP in my entire home... a decision I made because I have grandkids, granddogs, and a pool. It looks fantastic, is bulletproof, and is often mistaken for wood. It wasn’t a financial decision, but a practical one- and I have no regrets.

My decision was also informed by my love of plants. In my last home I had real engineered hardwood and my plants caused some mild water damage that ultimately cost me $30k, since I had a big house with the floors continuous throughout the first floor and I had to replace everything.

I looked high and low eventually finding Provenza who makes gorgeous LVP. It was the best looking by far!!

Mahegger I will see if I can find the receipt somewhere. I have a few extra boxes but they are in the attic. I like them very much- I looked hard for the right mid tone brown, without gray.

i like Coretec Calypso so far. It looks like real oak. Tomorrow I check out Provenzas
