Hi Maddy, so far so good. The washer has a "deep water" cycle for extra water but even a normal cycle gets enough water in there unlike those front loaders. My old SQ was the base model so it didn't have the additional button with extra "presoak", extra "rinse" options like this Maytag does so we like that. A small thing but the water only starts filling after you close the door. It also start and stops when filling up which is odd, I gather it takes in some hot water, stops takes in cold, etc... Kind of annoying. I've been meaning to look into this.

Dryer is fine, again my old SQ didn't have temp control (low, med, high) although a few times putting it on med temp and "normal" cycle would still have some thicker clothes slightly damp. I'm thinking the Maytag takes up more kWh but that's just a hunch I have yet to prove. I'm trying to track down the kWh specs for the old SQ but to no luck yet.

It seems the Maytag dryer is also quicker to complete a cycle.
