What other windows do they use?

Atrium out of NC... but we can basically use any window since it's a custom home.. they have discounted rates at Pella and Atrium

I'm pretty sure ours are Pella Encompass. The builder left the sticker on the basement windows (our house was a reconstruction over an existing basement, and one window is behind the basement drywall with a nice PELLA ENCOMPASS sticker on it - awesome job, guys). Assuming they used the same brand for all windows, I hate the double hung. The exterior pane has a 1/2" frame around it that keeps popping out, and it catches on the frame of the window above it when I try to open it. So I usually have to force the window open and then tilt it to pop that piece back in. I wouldn't choose them again if it were in my budget to get something better.

Pella encompass are a window choice for builders and jack of all trade type contractors. Most window pro’s who use well made, higher end , energy efficient products would not choose pella encompass. its not something i would ever install.

Same with Atrium.
