Thank you! I absolutely love all of these photos - great design! I wish I could find a grass this size and color that likes the sun - I have very little shade and I want a small grass that is golden or bright green. Your design and use of color is so inspiring!

thank you...Sesleria autumnalis is a nice apple green and likes sun. But yes, most of the chartreuse grasses want shade. Hakonechloa can take some sun, but bleaches lighter.

Your gardens are incredible! I enjoy looking at the pictures. Following up on one of your earlier comments about not using Carex oshimensis 'Evergold' lately, what sedges do you currently like?

Thanks Dan! It's actually rare that I use Carex anymore because the evergreen foliage ends up looking tattered in the PNW climate due to slugs, frosts and foliage disease issues. Ultimately you almost always have to cut them back at some point to keep them looking good and the grow back can take a long time - much longer than an herbaceous grass that fills in seasonally. Though it is herbaceous, I lean on Hakonechloa 'Aureola' quite a bit for a similar look. That said, there are several new Carex introductions out there now that are almost indistinguishable from 'Evergold'.
