Hey there,

Our condo has a wood rooftop deck that's been neglected in the 15 years it's been in existence. The wood is in rough shape in that it's grey, dry, and slightly warped and splintered in some spots. I highly doubt it's been sealed since its inception. So, my question is, what stain/sealer would you guys recommend for a job like this? We're interested in more of a semi transparent look but if that's not the best we'd like to know. Also, we're doing this ourselves. Are there any stains out there that are easier to apply than others and what kind of equipment should we look to use for application (the deck is roughly 600 sq ft)? Basically, I need advice for this DIY. Thanks for the help!
