I would caulk the joint with clear silicone between the glass and the tile. Was that your question?

I am unsure of your question/detail that you seek. Shower glass enclosures are sealed at the horizontal and vertical edges with silicone. If the glass sits on the bench, or abuts the wall the bench is on, then there would be a silicone seal at the intersection.

Bench should be solid surface, not tiled.

I agree with TMK Remodeling but feel the bench can be tiled if detailed and constructed properly.

But who want to sit on a tiled joint? Even if your joint line is 1/16", you will feel that. Solid surface seats in showers are much more 'user friendly'.
