Note that there's an additional character -- 0, 1, 2, etc. -- at end of the model number as an engineering revision code, which can be relevant for correct parts.

There's a belt-break switch on the motor, which may allow the controls to energize but not the motor to run (depends on how the circuits are designed) ... but presumably you've checked for a broken belt.

Check also for a wiring problem at the motor.

The blower housing has a temperature control thermistor and a thermal fuse. The fuse there prevents the dryer from running if it blows (the console probably would be non-functional). A thermistor malfunction will throw the temperatures awry but won't prevent the dryer from running (unless it overheats and blows the thermal fuse).

There's another thermal fuse on the heater box but it typically results in a no-heat situation, the dryer otherwise continues to run.
